Gravel path through a garden of clipped hedges and blooming roses

Gardens that grow into the house around them

Landscape design, stonework and planting for homes in the Ashford Valley — built by one crew from first sketch to first bloom.

We design for the yard you have, and the one you'll have in ten years

Good landscaping fills in. We plan for mature sizes, drainage, sun paths and how you actually use the space — then build with materials that look better as they weather.

From the people whose yards we dug up

"We gave them a muddy slope and a vague idea. Two summers later the terrace is where we eat every night, and the planting looks like it has always been there."
Helen & Rob Marsh · Hilltop terrace
"They told us what not to plant. That alone saved us thousands."
Tomás R. · Front garden
"The crew left the site cleaner every evening than they found it each morning."

Good questions to ask a landscaper

If yours isn't here, ask your designer at the site visit, or call the studio.

Most of our garden and planting projects fall between $8,000 and $35,000; patios and outdoor living spaces usually start around $18,000. Your designer gives you a ballpark at the first visit and a detailed, line-item proposal after design.

No. Design is billed as its own phase and the drawings are yours. About nine in ten clients do build with us, and we credit half the design fee back when they do.

Hardscape can be built from March through November. Planting does best in spring and fall. Booking design in winter means you are first in line when the ground thaws.

Yes. We prepare drawings and submittals for HOA boards and pull permits for retaining walls over four feet, gas fire features and lighting circuits.

Hardscape workmanship is covered for five years. Plants installed by us are covered for one full year when they are on our care plan or watered per our guide.
